Before founding his company, STRUCTICA, Inc., Mamaqani served as a chief engineer in PB&A, Inc. During his career with PB&A, Inc., he managed the design of temporary earth retention systems with the height of approximately 100 ft for five metro stations as a part Regional Connector Transit Corridor (RCC) and Westside Subway Extension, Purple Line (PL) located in Los Angeles, CA. The project was recognized by DFI as the outstanding project award runner-up in 2021. An article about one of the stations, 2nd/Broadway, was recently published in DFI magazine in the edition of March-April 2022.
During that time, he has also managed the design of one of the tallest permanent soil nail walls in the US with a maximum height of 100 ft. The project was located in Fashion Valley North, San Diego, CA. A paper and a PowerPoint presentation were published at DFI 46 conference.
